I have started to ride to work more frequently and decided I should get myself a road bike. A lot of shopping around ended up with me stumbling on the Dolan L’Etape. I’ve just done my first 50 mile ride on it and it’s superb. It’s very light with a carbon frame and a full Shimano Ultegra groupset and so feels genuinely special to ride and very fast. I have managed to reduce my commute time by 15 minutes, averaging about 19mph and down one steep hill I ended up doing 46mph and felt completely safe.
